October has been and extremely quiet month for nEoFILM, with only four films being reviewed, but the quality was much greater with a concentration of great movies, with one exception. The Old School (2003) review speaks for itself, but it was left to Unbreakable (2001), The Hindenburg (1975) and Thirteen Days (2000) to carry the torch for great movies everywhere.
But it had to be Thirteen Days. Not only was it the highest rated of the three, it is an underrated drama/thriller dealing with the issues of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which occurred 61 years ago this month. A must see for any fans of political thrillers and one which certainly stands tall amongst the many classics of the genre.
